Calvin College is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our street address is 3201 Burton SE and the main switchboard phone number is 616-957-6000. We are located at the crossroads of two major Grand Rapids streets -- Burton Street and the East Beltline (click the map to expand it). You can reach us in any number of ways, the following being some of the most popular . . .

FROM THE AIRPORT -- The airport is located on 44th Street and to leave the airport you must begin by going west on 44th Street. The first light is Paterson Avenue. Turn right (or north). Follow Paterson until it deadends into Burton Street (this is at a 3-way STOP). Turn left (or west). Follow Burton Street through a 4-way STOP, a light at East Paris, a light at the East Beltline and a light at Raybrook. Soon you will see on your right-hand side the main Calvin College entrance. Turn right and proceed into Calvin's campus. At the STOP sign go straight. The building you're pointed at is the Spoelhof Center (see the American flag?). Media check-in on Monday will be in the Spoelhof Center lobby.聽

FROM EAST OF GRAND RAPIDS (DETROIT, ETC) -- Follow I96 to Grand Rapids and exit the freeway at the 28th Street West exit (there are two 28th Street exits so be sure to use West). That exit will place you on 28th Street heading west. The first major intersection will be Paterson.

FROM WEST OF GRAND RAPIDS (CHICAGO, ETC) -- Follow I196 to Grand Rapids and exit the freeway at the East Beltline. Turn right (or south) on the East Beltline. Follow the East Beltline south for several miles until you see the signs for Calvin and Calvin's campus on your right-hand side. Ignore the two entrances to Calvin from the East Beltline and proceed instead all the way to Burton Street. Turn right (or west) on Burton and proceed through the first light. Soon after that light you will see the main Calvin College entrance. Turn right and proceed into Calvin's campus. At the STOP sign go straight. The building you're pointed at is the Spoelhof Center (see the American flag?). Media check-in on Monday will be in the Spoelhof Center lobby.聽

FROM SOUTH OF GRAND RAPIDS (KALAMAZOO, ETC) -- Follow US 131 north to Grand Rapids and exit the freeway at Burton Street. Turn right (or east). Follow Burton Street for a good stretch (several miles). Once you pass Breton you will be about a mile from campus. After Breton you will go through one more light before campus. Look to your left and after the fire station you've got about 1/4 mile to go. Calvin will be on the left-hand side. Turn left and proceed into Calvin's campus. At the STOP sign go straight. The building you're pointed at is the Spoelhof Center (see the American flag?). Media check-in on Monday will be in the Spoelhof Center lobby.

FROM NORTH OF GRAND RAPIDS (TRAVERSE CITY, ETC) -- Follow US 131 south to I96 east. Where I96 meets I196 is where you'll need to be careful since you'll need to get across about four lanes of traffic where the two freeways merge in order to exit at the East Beltline. If you manage that then turn right (or south) on the East Beltline. Media check-in on Monday will be in the Spoelhof Center lobby.
