Tue, Aug 18, 2020
Matt Kucinski

The Princeton Review ranks 麻豆区 as one of the nation鈥檚 best institutions for undergraduates to earn their college degree, and as a top 20 school nationwide for both its health and counseling services.

The education services company features Calvin in the 2021 edition of its annual college guide, The Best 386 Colleges, which was released today. Only about 14% of America鈥檚 2,800 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, which is one of the Princeton Review鈥檚 most popular publications. The company chooses the colleges for the book based on data it annually collects from administrators at hundreds of colleges about their institutions鈥 academic offerings.

While the schools aren鈥檛 ranked numerically 1 to 386 overall, there are top 20 lists in the guidebook where institutions are ranked. These rankings are determined by surveying students who rate and report on various aspects of their campus and community experiences.

Best Health Services

One of the lists Calvin is on is 鈥,鈥 where the university ranks 15th in the nation. It has appeared on this list each of the last nine years. A team of health services professionals are led by medical doctor Laura Champion, who has more than 25 years of experience and connections in the Grand Rapids area, where Calvin is located.

The Health Services team has been instrumental in the university鈥檚 planning and response to the COVID-19 pandemic this past spring and summer, and has been diligently preparing for the university鈥檚聽safe return to campus with students moving onto campus next week.

Best Counseling Services

And the university is also applauded for its commitment to mental health. The Princeton Review ranks Calvin 10th in the nation in the "" category. Dr. Irene Kraegel leads a team of mental health professionals in the university鈥檚 Center for Counseling and Wellness. The team provides quality care for students based on the best evidence-based practices.
