Frankly Faraci
The opening sequence in the Dove Channel talk show hosted by Matt Faraci 鈥99 features a framed Chimes story of the alum during his Calvin days.
It is a tip of the cap from Faraci to Calvin, where, he says, 鈥淭he school was big enough to give me all kinds of options, yet small enough to be free of bureaucracy.鈥
As a student, Faraci was given permission to do a regular talk show on the student-run campus cable station CVN鈥攁nd now, years later, he is hosting , on which he interviews thoughtful Christians engaged in popular culture.
鈥淚 describe my guests as faithful people doing extraordinary things,鈥 he said.
Frankly Faraci debuted on the Dove Channel鈥檚 streaming service in March with special guests The Piano Guys. Other guests have been the rapper Propaganda and the clean-comedy troupe Studio C.
鈥淲e鈥檝e wrapped up the first season of six episodes and Dove has asked for another season, this time with 10 shows,鈥 said Faraci.
After graduation, Faraci set out for Washington, D.C., and was active in politics. After a time, he felt led to the opposite coast, to Hollywood.
鈥淚 saw the need to make certain more Christian voices were heard in the entertainment industry,鈥 he said. 鈥淭o influence culture, we have to get out of our Christian bubble and be in culture.鈥
