Wildlife Management Techniques in Shifting Landscapes
Ty Werdel is an Assistant Professor in Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management at Texas A&M University, with a research focus on wildlife management, ecological modeling, and the integration of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) into contemporary science. His work examines the spatial distribution of mammals, the competition between non-native and native species, and mammal community dynamics in prairie ecosystems. Additionally, his research seeks to incorporate community-based approaches and Indigenous knowledge systems to inform land management practices.
