Poem - The Wave

standing on a beach⁣⁣⁣
overlooking everlasting blues⁣⁣⁣
watching the white froth of waves⁣⁣⁣
gushing towards the shore⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
while the waves come⁣⁣⁣
one after the other⁣⁣⁣
all your worries⁣⁣⁣
just melt away⁣⁣⁣
slowly⁣⁣⁣
with the waves coaxing them⁣⁣⁣
out of you⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
no matter if you’re a city dweller⁣⁣⁣
seeing it⁣⁣⁣
on the rare occasions you get⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
or a little child⁣⁣⁣
with the silliest worries⁣⁣⁣
seeing it for the first time⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
no matter if you’re a local⁣⁣⁣
and you see this every day⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
or an old man ⁣⁣⁣
at the end of his years⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
no matter where you are from⁣⁣⁣
or how often⁣⁣⁣
you feel this salty breeze⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
no matter when you see it⁣⁣⁣
it coaxes you⁣⁣⁣
coming slowly⁣⁣⁣
repeatedly⁣⁣⁣
relentlessly ⁣⁣⁣
and continuously⁣⁣⁣
to coax your troubles away⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
the tides⁣⁣⁣
will wash away⁣⁣⁣
your troubled thoughts⁣⁣⁣
and end⁣⁣⁣
in ripples of bliss⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
and when⁣⁣⁣
you turn your back to the waves⁣⁣⁣
you return⁣⁣⁣
to where you came from⁣⁣⁣
calmer. happier. lighter⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
free 💙

Hey there :) Calling myself a writer seems a little too good to be true, so I just say: I write. I also like exploring new places and music when I'm not curled up reading a book or binge-watching.
